Assault Rifles at Arizona State University
Arizona State University will soon be arming campus police officers with assault rifles. Eight campus officers at ASU will begin carrying assault rifles in their vehicles after receiving proper training. I am not opposed to this policy as an alumnus of ASU, in fact given the size of ASU’s campus, the use of an assault rifle would be useful in such a large area in the event that something tragic occurs.
