Continental to Offer Electronic Boarding Passes
Continental Airlines is beginning to offer electronic boarding passes at Bush International Airport beginning this past Tuesday. Why am I blogging this? Because it is one step closer to having an all inclusive mobile device. With the introduction of the iPhone earlier this year, that was a huge step in the right direction, integrating a MP3 player, with a phone. Now granted, boarding passes aren’t a “device”, but it is an example, of how to integrate something that is currently done in a non-digital fashion, and integrating it with a digital platform, such as a phone. Once cell phones, or whatever communications devices evolve into, can be used as a form of payment, I’ll be happy carrying around only one thing in my pockets.
